We don't need ulama. We need adillah

Publication time: 26 January 2012, 03:14

We don't need ulama (scholars) - we need adillah (proofs/evidences).

This quote belongs to a young man who asked "Why according to Islam, we have to do this way and not the other?" and got the answer that the ulama said so.

Indeed, in Islam, an argument for convincing an opponent should not be a reference to alim's opinion, but a reference to verses from the Qur'an and hadiths from the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh).

Of course, we cannot entirely agree with this young Muslim, for actually, the ulama take out the adillah from the Qur'an and Sunnah. But it seems that more than anything, he meant the local "armchair scholars", whose deadliest argument is that "one very big alim said..."

In order to find the right argument in the Qur'an and Sunnah, the justification of one's position, it is necessary to possess certain knowledge in the area of Islamic jurisprudence, the science of Hadith, Islamic history, and finally, Arabic language.

The fact that among the ulama of Dagestan there are few scholars of this level, means that a huge part of the youth, which is ready to dedicate their life to the cause of Islam, are turning away from them.

The people become disillusioned with such scholars, seeing their unprofessionalism and incompetence. I don't even mention the "sufi ulama". They represent a clinical case and it is almost impossible to save the "patient".

Some time ago, the Spiritual Department of Muslims of Dagestan (SDMD) was boasting that there wasn't a single student that was studying abroad on its recommendation.

But would it really be so bad, if instead of homegrown educational program, the youth would be learning their religion from the pure sources, and as a result, multilaterally educated people would substitute the fools in the mass media, who with their speeches literally divide the Islamic society in "true" Muslims and "untrue" Muslims, calling people to turn away from and even fight those who do not resemble them (not so clean-shaven like themselves, for example). But, it seems that our spiritual fathers don't want to spoil "the purest Islam in the world".

Only recently, the infidel Khloponin had explained to the Muslims of Caucasus, that it is impermissible to study in the Islamic countries at all, because the "spoilt youth" is coming back from those countries, youth that rocks the boat. In other words, those who want to live according to Islam, let them leave Caucasus and don't prevent others to live by the laws of Russia.

We respond to the infidel - this is Muslim land and the Sharia will be established here, Sharia which you destroyed, having conquered the lands of Islam. You will have to go, together with all those who don't want to obey the laws of Sharia.

The law-obeying citizens from among the unbelievers will live under protection of Sharia, which is infinitely more just than any of your despicable laws, which you change like gloves, with or without motive.

In one of the hadiths, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, that Islam appeared as gharib (strange) and will be revived as gharib (strange).

In other words, in the beginning, Islam was something strange and people opposed it, until they didn't understand its essence. And today, when Islam is going through a speedy revival, it is not understood by many people, and that is why they are afraid of it and even fighting it.

Having sold their religion for positions and salaries, the collaborators of SDMD, accusing their ideological opponents of every single "-ism", actually have established a monopoly on the religion and have positioned themselves before the nation as the only true representatives of Islam.

However Islam, interpreted by the official, semi-educated spiritual establishment, is not attractive, so to speak. The people, seeing straightforward arrogance and ignorance from the part of "spiritual fathers", who are telling stupid fairy-tales under disguise of religion, are losing respect towards such an Islam, saying "If this is their Islam, then we don't need it".

But praise be to Allah, who allowed our generation of Muslims to receive knowledge from the primary sources. There is no more monopoly on Islam, Insha'Allah. And it is because of this that Muslim youth is going to Jihad. It is because of this that the infidels' attempts to impose a favorable "Islam", are bound to fail.

That is why the victory of true Islam, which gives to the nations true justice, is inevitable, Insha'Allah.
