Mass brawls between Russians and Kumyks for religious reasons become more frequent

Publication time: 8 September 2010, 13:39

As reported by Russian occupiers, a mass brawl between Russians and Kumyks for religious reasons took place in predominantly Christian-populated village of Troitskaya in Mozdok district of Ghalghaycho (AKA Ingushetia) Province of the Caucasus Emirate, on 28 August, 2010.

Participants used stabbing and cutting metal tools as well as metal sticks.

Prior to this, large brawls between Russian colonist Christians and Muslim Kumyks occurred in the villages of Kiyevsky, Vinogradnoye, Terek, Pavlodolskaya and in the city of Mozdok.

Occupation terrorist gangs of the FSB and police accused, as always, Muslims in a brawl in Troitskaya, and seized 15 Kumyks.

Russian occupants do not hide the fact that fights have a religious and ethnic character.

Russian colonists attack Kumyks, who are a national minority, because of enmity and hatred, as the number of Kumyks in Mozdok District of the Ghalghaycho Province makes only 1.8%. But this is not so important for the Russians.

The leading role in fighting is the enmity of Russian colonists towards Islam. The occupation media outlets openly write about the hatred towards Muslims by Russian colonists in Mozdok district.

"Kumyks are Muslims. And the Ossetians are with us and go to the same churches, celebrate the same holidays - they are Orthodox Christians. Ossetians - they are our people", Russian colonists say.

It is to be recalled that the Ossetians are not a monoreligious people. Ossetians are divided into three ethnic subgroups - Irontsias (mostly Christians), Digorians (mostly Muslims) and Kudartsias (mostly pagans, living mostly in South Ossetia).
