Trial of accomplices in murder case of Yamadayev in March 2009 continues in Dubai

Publication time: 25 August 2010, 13:55

According to media outlets in the Arab Emirates, a regular hearing of the Court of Appeal on two accomplices in the murder case of Sulim Yamadayev in March 2009 was held in Dubai on August 24. It is to be reminded that the UAE authorities arrested a personal groom (Iranian) of Kadyrov and a Tajik.

Lawyers for the defendants did not use a recent statement by Yamadayev's brother, Isa, that Yamadayev had not allegedly been killed but only wounded and died a couple of days ago, which would immediately help to reject the murder charge and reduce the life imprisonment sentence issued by the previous court.

The local press, as well as Western correspondents in Dubai, and their editors in foreign capitals, did not report a single word about the burial of Sulim Yamadayev in Dubai, which according to his brother Isa allegedly occurred in Dubai on August 24, 2010.

Foreign correspondents in Moscow are also disdained to report on a ridiculous statement by Isa Yamadayev.

The lawyer of Kadyrov's groom said at the court session on August 24 that his client could not follow the car of Sulim Yamadayev, since he did not have a Dubai's driver's license.

The court didn't consider the question if the escaped killer could kill Yamadayev because he had no license to carry weapons in Dubai.

It is to be recalled that the investigation established that Sulim Yamadayev was killed in March 2009 with a handgun that had been brought to the UAE by Kadyrov's cousin and personal executioner and trustee Adam Delimkhanov, who is accused by the authorities in Dubai in the organizing the murder of Sulim Yamadayev. Adam Delimkhanov has been put on an international list of criminals wanted by the Interpol.

The next court hearing will be held on September 19.
