Amir Supyan: Address to Mujahideen

This is an English transcript of the video statement made by Naib (deputy) of Emir of the Caucasus Emirate - Supyan Abdullayev following the Majlis al-Shura on 29 Rabi' al-Thani 1430 (25.04.2009). The statement translated from Russian to English by The Caucasus Blog.

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed shaytan.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Praise be to Allah, peace and prayers be upon the Seal of Prophets and Messengers, upon his family and upon all companions. To proceed:

Mujahideen brothers in Caucasus, peace be upon you, mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Dear Mujahideen brothers, we send you our Salam and good wishes.

The month, during which our enemies declared that they had ended the war in Caucasus, nears end. All of you clearly realize, that it is nonsense, that it is not true, it is a lie intended to deceive their own citizens in Russia. Jihad, as we see, continues.

This winter we had big losses as never before, here in Chechnya, in Dagestan, and across entire Emirate in general, we suffered big losses this winter. But our spirit is alive, our will to fight is firm, and we will fight while our hearts beat, while we are alive, and we will never give up to the enemy a single meter of our native land or a single point of the Sharia, no matter how hard they try, no matter if their stooges promise that they will destroy Islam here in Caucasus, that they will build an incomprehensible, democratic regime subservient to them, they will never do that, and they will never be able to do that.

We are strong with our spirit, we are strong with our will to defeat them, and we are strong because we respect and love each other like this, because we visit each other, worry for each other, and hold firmly to the rope of Allah, we are strong because of it.

I call on all of you, brothers, not to give in to those provocations, that we hear on radio and on television, those are merely words and wishes of kuffar, we must prepare for a very serious struggle.

I say that the counter-terrorist operation against state terrorists, against the Kremlin terror, we will not end this operation, and this counter-terrorist operation, which we are carrying out today against those giaours (infidels), will continue.

I reckon that brothers who are in Dagestan are upset about our lost brothers, we offer our condolences to them on this occasion, and don't be upset, because Allah says in His Holy Scripture: "So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers" (Surat Al 'Imran, 3:139). They are, insha'Allah, in Paradise, and it is only necessary for us to strengthen our rows and continue our struggle.
