Convoy Destroyed, At Least 7 Invaders Wiped Out in Chechnya

At least seven Russian invaders were killed when Muhahideen ambushed an occupation police convoy in Chechnya, Russian officials said Wednesday.

 

Mujahideen fired on police cars near the village of Dai in the Shatoi region in Chechnya's forested southern mountains at 16.30 local time time on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, killing the seven officers and wounding one more. The Mujahideen  blew up the officers' UAZ minivans before opening fire. At least 2 Russian vehicles were completely destroyed and burnt down to ashes.

 

The invaders were ambushed when they were returning from a so call "clean operation" in Shatoi district.

 

After successfully completing their combat task, the Mujahideen withdrew from the scene without having suffered any casualties.

 

Firefight Reported in Chechnya

 

According to Russian news reports, a mobile group of Chechen Mujahideen engaged in a firefight with Russian proxies in the Urus Martan district; purportedly wounding only one collaborator.

 

No casualties among the fighters were mentioned in the reports.  As of press time, no detals with respect to the real extent of puppet' casualties was available from the Mujahideen.
